Nikos K. Kyriazis - President

Ο Nikos P. Kyriazis, son of Kostas and Artemis Kyriatzis, was born in Athens in 1952. He obtained his diploma and Ph.D. (Ph.D.) in Economics from the University of Bonn, Germany. He was a visiting professor at Harvard University and the University of Trier, and served as a professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Thessaly. He was also the chair of this department during the period 2014-2015. He is currently an Emeritus Professor in the same department.

Earlier in his career, he served as an expert on monetary issues in the Directorate-General for Studies of the European Parliament, as a consultant to the National Bank, and as an advisor to the Ministries of Finance and National Defense. He was one of the key designers of the Greek Command and Control System (C4I) and also served as the Secretary-General of the National Centre for Public Administration. Furthermore, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Alpha-Trust-Andromeda Securities (listed on the Athens Stock Exchange), Vice-President of Ergoman Telecommunications (a service provider company), Vice-President of Black Orange (a Greek film production company), and President of the Kostas and Artemis Kyriatzis Foundation.

He has published 16 academic books, 60 articles in international peer-reviewed academic journals, and 28 articles in collective volumes of scientific books. He has also participated in numerous international and Greek academic conferences.

In 2005, he was honored by French President Jacques Chirac with the highest distinction, the Knight of the Legion of Honour (Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur), for his contributions to European integration and the preparation of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), as a member of the Delors–Moreau working group. He is currently Vice-President of the Evaluation Committee for the Quality of the Legislative Process of the Greek Presidency.

His articles, mainly on economic issues, are regularly published in the daily press (To Vima, Kathimerini, Kifisia, Thessalia, Tachydromos, Eleftheria, etc.).

As an author, he has published twenty-five novels, six of which have been translated into English under the name Nicholas Snow.
