The author is awarded for the entirety of her significant work,
which includes eight novels, with the most recent being "Sicilian Evening".

TRANSLATION AWARD "ANCIENT, BYZANTINE, LATIN, AND MEDIEVAL"
LITERATURE
The distinguished researcher and author is awarded for his excellent new translation of
Nefeles by Aristofanes

Priya Trivedi
CULTURAL EXCELLENCE AWARD
Professor
Priya Trivedi, from India,
President of the Confederation of 1,200 Indian Universities, is being awarded for her multifaceted scientific work, as well as for her overall social contribution and her role in promoting international peace and understanding among people
through education and culture.
Her selection was also made with the ultimate goal of strengthening the relations between Greece,
Cyprus, and India,
particularly in the field of higher education, given that India is the most populous country in the world, shares cultural elements with Greece, and is an emerging economic power, ranking fifth globally
in terms of GDP.

Chrysanthi Kakoulidou
AWARD
The translator Chrysanthi Kakoulidou is awarded for her translation of works by great Russian poets.

Marc Studer
HONORABLE MENTION
Marc Studer, President of Maison Dufour, is awarded for promoting the work
of Kapodistria and the Swiss Philhellenes Dufour and Eynard.

Ioannis Tsaftarides
CULTURAL EXCELLENCE AWARD
His Eminense,Archbishop Ioannis Tsaftaridis of Zambia and Mozambiqueis awarded for his outstanding social work and promotion of the Greek language and culture in these countries. His Eminence is leading the effort to return the historic and magnificent building Athinaion in Maputo to the Greek community of Mozambique, and he is tirelessly working to construct a new cultural complex in the same city. In Zambia, he is spearheading the construction of a Missionary Village in the so-called Vlachaki community, a group of about 3,000 people descended from the Cretan Dimitris Vlachakis, who arrived in the country in the late 19th century. Among other things, the village includes an important educational complex consisting of a school, vocational school, sports center, and cultural multipurpose hall.

The K. & A. Kyriazis Foundation Awards are presented annually to distinguished individuals from Greece and abroad for their significant contributions to letters, education, and culture.
The 2024 awards were presented at an official ceremony held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 18:30 in Athens, during a joint event of the Konstantinos and Artemis Kyriazis Foundation and the Society of Greek Literary Translators.
