His Eminence is leading the effort to return the historic and magnificent building Athinaion in Maputo to the Greek community of Mozambique, and he is tirelessly working to construct a new cultural complex in the same city. In Zambia, he is spearheading the construction of a Missionary Village in the so-called Vlachaki community, a group of about 3,000 people descended from the Cretan Dimitris Vlachakis, who arrived in the country in the late 19th century.
